Additional Broadcasts and Streams coming for VCT EMEA Stage 2 Qualifiers

posted by Riot Stupendous,
The EU esports team provides an update on changes to broadcasting ahead of the second round of Qualifiers for the VCT EU Stage 2 this weekend. Starting with the second round of Qualifiers, set to take place this weekend from 10 April until 12 April, we will create additional ways for fans to watch the competition.

On Monday, 12 April, we will add more video streams for the final day of the Stage 2 Qualifiers that will enable fans to watch the competition. As part of this, we will host an official broadcast that will give fans the opportunity to vote for which two games they want to see. Two rounds of voting will take place on the valesports_eu Twitter channel ahead of the Round of 16 and the Round of 8, allowing fans to vote for which game they want to watch on the official broadcast.

The official broadcast will be available for all three of our official territories - EU, TR and CIS - on the following Twitch and YouTube channels:

Twitch:

YouTube:

The official broadcast will include three casters, including host Yinsu Collins, Mitch "MitchMan" McBride and Tom "Tombizz" Bissmire.

Partnered Streams

We will also be running five partnered streams on the final day of Qualifiers (three in the EU and two in CIS) that will be published by partner casters from their home on their own channels, with streams showcasing the highest performing teams based on a community vote. The first place will be featured on the main stream, places two to four will be chosen by the talent. The partnered streams will be operated and commentated on by various casters, providing fans with even more ways to enjoy the action.

Additional partnered streams will be available for the first two days of Qualifiers - Saturday, 10 April and Sunday, 11 April - in EU, TR and CIS. The partnered streams will be operated and commentated by a partner caster, who will also select the match they want to show based on the teams vlr.gg ranking and the potential for a competitive game. This will include:

  • Five streams available in the EU. Five published by partner casters from their home on their own channels that will allow fans to watch with commentary from a partner caster.

  • Two streams available in TR that will be published by partner casters from their home on their own channels.

  • Two streams available in CIS that will be published by partner casters from their home on their own channels.

*These partners are pre-approved by Riot officials Team and Player Streams.
